What to expect

Before your appointment

You can book your appointment online, by phone, or by email. When you book, you will receive a confirmation email with all the information you need, along with a questionnaire covering your general health and medical history. Please complete and submit this before your appointment.

Your first visit

At your first visit, your chiropractor will carry out a full consultation and examination to determine how best to help you. This will include discussing what you would like to address, along with any relevant details from your health and medical history.

Your chiropractor may carry out any necessary orthopaedic or neurological tests to establish a working diagnosis. These will be explained to you, along with any findings.

If you are happy to proceed, treatment will usually be carried out at this appointment. This is generally done fully clothed, so loose, comfortable clothing is recommended. Please allow up to one hour for your first visit.

Follow-up visits

At follow-up visits, your chiropractor will discuss your progress since your last appointment and carry out further treatment as needed. Exercise or lifestyle advice may also be given.

Follow-up visits are usually carried out fully clothed, so comfortable clothing is helpful. Please allow around 30 minutes for these appointments.

The number of visits required varies from person to person and depends on the nature and duration of your condition. Your chiropractor will discuss this with you and agree a plan of care. Progress will be reviewed regularly, and changes made if needed.

Maintenance care

At ChiroWorks Cambridge, we believe everyone can benefit from chiropractic care, whether you are currently in pain or not. Once your condition has improved, or if you simply wish to maintain how you are feeling, regular maintenance visits may be offered.

These are typically every one to three months, depending on the individual. You are always free to stop chiropractic care at any time.

Mike

"I had a recurring ankle problem, and Abbe did a fantastic job of resolving the issue for me. She was approachable and easy to make a booking with, unrushed, and left me feeling both relaxed and my ankle showed vast improvement where others had failed. I will definitely be having regular treatments and would highly recommend Abbe to others."

Jodie

Cambridge

"I work with Abbe at CCTT and I've been seeing her for treatments for the last 3 years. She is a fantastic therapist. After each session my symptoms have been radically improved. I have visited other therapists with my symptoms and not had a fraction of the same results. Abbe is personable and professional, knowledgeable, experienced and exceptionally gifted at her practice."

Many of our patients come to us through personal recommendations.
